Street Art Festival in Chelmsford
Since its first edition in 2022, the street art festival Concrete Canvas has become a yearly event to celebrate a vibrant art scene and to display a new arts trail in Chelmsford.
Chelmsford is a town 30 miles northeast of London in Essex. By train from Stratford, it takes about 25 minutes and you find yourself in a cute town, with a well-maintained high street and shopping district, parks and walks along the river Can.
Charlie visited the town for the festival Concrete Canvas in May 2024 to explore graffiti, murals and street art. She was not disappointed. On almost every corner of the town was an artist applying colours to walls. Charlie also discovered artworks done during previous editions of the street art festival. At Bond Street, there was an arts market, music, drinks and more live painting. It was a beautiful sunny day and Chelmsford invited to a beer by the river.
